Welcome to the Holy Rosary School Website!!!!

IT'S CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK!
This is the K through 8th Grade Service Projects that each class has chosen their project to do as a class. Any one can help fulfill any of these projects.
Field Trip to Sheldon Hall
Grades 2-8 went to the Sheldon Hall in St. Louis, MO, to review some cool blues and American Folk music. Everyone enjoyed the field trip and also enjoyed the tour of Loyola School, where we ate lunch. Thanks to Loyola for hosting us!
A Historian Visits Us!
Students enjoyed learning about the history of Warren County from Karen Wright, a member of the Warren County Historical Society. She talked to the entire school on November 7 at our weekly assebly.
Mrs. Wright did a phenomenal job of teaching us about our State fossil, the Crinoid, that can be found in our Warren County creeks; the discovery of Mastodon bones found just north of Warren County around Coon Creek; the Osage Indians who once inhabited Warren County and the impact Lewis and Clark, Joseph Warren and Daniel Boone had on Warren County.
And did you know that the Serenity Prayer was written by Reinhold Niebuhr, who was born in Wright City in 1892 and became a Theologian and Commentator on public affairs!
We would like to "THANK" Mrs. Wright for her informative presentation and the wonderful Warren County Coloring Books she gave us!

Mrs. Dooley, School Librarian
I think my favorite part of volunteering at Holy Rosary School is working with the students. I've been volunteering at Holy Rosary for 24 years. I think that the new software will really help & encourage the students to read if they choose to use it. I think kids have stopped reading some of the time because of tv, computers, and texting!

Mrs. Holt, School Secretary Interview -
I love being a part of Holy Rosary School. We are off to a great start this year! Our new Principal, Mr. Ford, has really inspired our students and staff to work to the best of our abilities.
I feel blessed to be able to work where I actually attended school as a child. I have many special memories from my former school days. Everyone was very close. We were a family. I still see that today. We have such wonderful students and dedicated parents who make huge sacrifices to pay for their children's education.
When I am surrounded by our students, I really feel the love and presence of God in our school.

"HAWK" AWARDS
"You've been spotted!", is Holy Rosary's way of recognizing Holy and Apostolic Works of Kindness that our children demonstrate during school hours. "It was so much fun to get a HAWK Award and made me feel so good inside", said one of our little Hawks, "I'm going to get more Hawk slips so my Teacher can put them on our bulletin board!" An out-of-uniform pass is given when a student receives 10 Hawk Awards.
